SHIMANO CN-HG71 8-Speed Chain

The Shimano CN-HG71 chain is designed for precise HYPERDRIVE SIS and DUAL SIS INDEX shifting. The SHIMANO HG71 chain is also rated for E-BIKE use. The CN-HG71 chain is Shimano's best 6/7/8 speed chain, and features a nicer finish and some better materials compared to the base model CN-HG40 chain. 

Who is this product for? You have 6,7 or 8 cogs on your rear wheel and need a new chain. This chain is also rated to work on E-bikes.

The Bicycle Depot Top Technical Tip: To fit this chain you will need a chain tool and ideally a 'click-link' joining link, although you can use the joining pin supplied. Check that the length of the existing chain is correct and then shorten the new chain to the same length using the chain tool. If unsure seek assistance from a professional bicycle mechanic. Be aware that a new chain may not run smoothly on worn cogs and you may need to replace the cluster/cassette and/or chainrings as well.
