The Maxxis tyre levers are about as good as it gets - these are our mechanics' favourite. The best design and the strongest material used make these the best. You'd have to do something weird to break a Maxxis lever, in fact no-one in our workshop has ever done that! When you consider how many tyres we fit and how many difficult ones we get, that's really saying something! Great product.

 

The Bicycle Depot Technical Top Tip: Of course, make sure the bead of the tyre is fully down in the 'gully' of the rim before trying to hook it over the edge of the rim with a lever. It's all in the technique - at least 99% of the time, it's technique that will get a tyre on or off, not brute force!.
