The Bicycle Depot Technical Top Tip: When replacing disc brake pads it may be worth cleaning the rotor with isopropyl or give them a scrub with hot soapy water. Check the caliper and hoses for oil leaks, and clean carefully. Do not touch the braking surfaces of the pads or the rotor with bare hands and keep chainlube and cleaning sprays (apart from Isopropyl) well away from the rotor and caliper. If unsure, seek assistance from a professional bicycle mechanic.
